2024 Walk-N-Roll Event Information

August 10th at Bradley Lake Park
Register at 10am – Event at 11am

We are gearing up for our 15th Annual Walk-N-Roll event this summer on August 10th and we have decided to do it at Bradley Lake Park in Puyallup! We love that this is an easily accessible park with a paved pathway, central to a lot of our family and friends of the Spina Bifida community. We will announce more details about the Walk N Roll (time, registration, etc.) as we get closer to the event, but make sure to save the date and start thinking about your team’s outfit theme!

We are also looking to find someone on the east side of the state who would be interested in setting up a sister Walk-N-Roll event at the same time on the same date so we can include more of our Washington State community. If you are interested in heading up the event, please fill out our contact form on this page and let us know!

The Spina Bifida Advocates of Washington Walk-N-Roll is a family-friendly one-mile walk event that raises funds, increases awareness of Spina Bifida, and celebrates the accomplishments of the near 200,000 Americans living with Spina Bifida. All proceeds are used for programs and services for people with Spina Bifida and their families.

Event Begins in:

It’s free! Although it is recommended that each person raise at least $50 as this is a fundraiser after all!

Check in/Day of registration begins at 10am, the walk begins at 11am, awards ceremony & thank you’s around 11:30, followed by “bring your own picnic” mingle time! bring a tent, chairs, blanket, food, and hang out with other local spina bifida families!

It’s a flat, one-mile loop on a paved path around Bradley Lake. The walk should take about 30 minutes.

If you are coming alone, sign up as an individual, if you are coming with at least one other person, it might be more fun to register as a team.

You absolutely can dress up. Some people wear matching team shirts, wear capes, tie-dye shirts, wigs, funny costumes, themes, etc! Have fun with it!

No way! Anyone can participate to walk or roll, we just ask that participants either fundraise or donate although that is not a requirement. Spreading awareness of Spina Bifida and our organization is also valuable!

Once you sign up, you will have a participant page which allows you to raise funds as an individual and you can compete for the Top Fundraiser award, and a Team Page, where you can keep track of the team’s fundraising efforts. We suggest adding photos and a bit of your story with Spina Bifida. You will have a custom link for your individual and team pages that you can share. The team page is what you will want to share with folks you want to join your team, or you can tell people to search for your team upon signing up.

Share, share, share! Put it on your social media, add it to your bio on Instagram, tell your coworkers, share it to your stories, make it shareable for friends and family to share, text/email the link to friends/family, and more! We accept cash, check, or credit card donations. You want to send them your participant page to donate (they can also join your team if you’d like!).

We are looking to provide entertainment, vendors, and a sweet treat for our walk participants.
